I'M BACK

So, it's been a little over two years since I ended my year abroad in Lyon, France. And I'm back. Well, back in Europe, not France. I've decided to join this program called Mountbatten Institute to study and work in London for a year, which means more travels and more blog posts. I've been here for about 3 months now and strangely, I feel like I've lost a bit of the novelty and excitement of traveling to new countries. I don't even take my camera to half of the places I travel to, which explains the shitty quality of some of these pictures. Maybe I'm growing up and becoming less worried about having to document everything and just trying to enjoy the moment? Or maybe I've just gotten lazy. Anyways, hopefully, I'll be able to get the spark back. In the meantime, here are some memorable moments I've had in London so far:

First day in Londontown. First stop: Queen of Hoxton with Sasha and Mika.
First day of work as a Marketing Specialist at Thomson Reuters. Yes, I had someone take this for me.
Channelling my inner 2004 Paris Hilton.
Tower Bridge + American tourists.
Decided to catch the sunset with Mika on top of the Greenwich hill one day after work. Of course, it wouldn't have been right without some charcuterie + white wine.
Hyde Park, evening.
At Tom's Kitchen for some after-work drinks with these gals.
Arsenal under 25 game at Emirates stadium. Tix were so cheap (about 5 pounds?)
Carnaval with these two was probably one of my favorite memories so far. Matching tourist shirts? Check. Shotgunning ciders under an American flag? Check.
Hello! Loving pub decoration delights.
Look who came to visit!
Met some Swiss people who came to London to watch the NFL game and ended up playing an intense drinking game that involved coins and keen observation skills.
*_*
So I think I went a little overboard when I asked my mom to pack me "a couple things." Thanks Linda for being a bo$$ and bringing all this for me T-T

Mika and I, pre-Beyonce tribute night pt. 1.
Mika and I, pre-Beyonce tribute night pt. 2.
Met Leonardo DiCaprio at a club, NBD. Had a conversation with him in which I almost a bit too aggressively insisted he remember my name.
Tate Modern.
Asian Chairshot- great band!
Not for the easily offended.
Dreams do come true. Finally got to see one of my favorite artists and it was probably one of the best shows I've ever been to.
Reunited with Sasha in Londontown after not seeing each other for over a year- always good times with this one. At BYOC in Camden.
More pub decoration delights. Yes, I love pubs.
Infinite Mix: One of my favorite bits.
