Eiffel Good About This One

The view from the hotel room.

Mia at brunch.

Mia's tea.

My espresso.

Some kind of a pie.

I don't even remember what this was called but it was super yummy.

Miranda at the Louvre.

Found this perfect picture-worthy sign.

You lock the lock and throw the key in the river.

We beat the line boredom with some wine and pretzels.

Tick tock.

I can't believe I was actually here.

Espressos + Tartine.

Casually sipping on my espresso.

Cheers!

Drinking wine out of baby bottles.

Fondue!

Starting the morning with some yoga.

The Eiffel Tower (+me) in all its beauty and glory.

Sad I couldn't get to ride a vespo in Paris.

Paparazzi.

Mona Lisa.

Me trying to be artsy fartsy.

Musee du Louvre.

Yes, we had Chipotle in Paris and it was totally worth it.

Laduree.

Macaron galore! It was heaven.

The tower lit at night.

I am finally doing my long overdue Paris post! Looking back at these pictures makes me want to go back so badly. Paris is amazingly beautiful and every moment felt surreal.
So last weekend, my friend had to take her LSATs in Paris and she invited me to go with her and stay with her at a hotel that her mom booked. Obviously I said yes and eventually two other friends joined us. It was a great weekend but it was a bit odd. Before I came to France, I chose Lyon over Paris because I thought too many people in Paris would dismiss my amateur French speaking abilities and talk to me in English, but when I got there and I started talking to some locals, they actually spoke back to me in French. I found this odd because in Lyon, people usually recognize my American accent when I'm speaking French and start speaking to me in English.
Anyways, so in Paris, I got to go to all the touristy-must-sees such as the Eiffel Tower, the Musee du Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay, Les Deux Magots, and Laduree. I think the most memorable experience of this trip was standing in line to get into the Musee d'Orsay. Miranda and I couldn't bear to wait half an hour in line (sober) so we decided to get a bottle of rosé and some pretzels to make the wait a little more endurable. Needless to say, we got a lot of dirty looks from people around us but we didn't care because we're kool kats.

Filling In The Blanks

A small recap of what I've been doing with my life the past three weeks. (Not in any particular order)

This was my original homestay home before I had to move out (they have about a million cats and I found out after I got there that I'm allergic to cats).
The view from my new room.
My first home-cooked meal (jambon, tomates, mozzarella, pain, et pancakes avec fromage fondu).
Gangnam in Lyon?
Me being a tourist in this sweet alley of restaurants near Bellecour.
After-school mimosas at Parc de la Tête d'Or.
Rain + Vieux Lyon.
Mira.
First time drinking wine at a restaurant in France (with Mia).
An after-school picnic with the classmates (Parc de la Tête d'Or).
Cathy and I inside the greenhouse (Parc de la Tête d'Or).
Wine by the Rhône on the first night.
First time having confit de canard (duck confit).
I'm a little ashamed to admit that this is from Häagen-Dazs.
A liter of long island iced tea (Hôtel de Ville).
Having a drink by the river.
#Phantasy, Clara, + Mojitos.
Derek came out too good in this one to not post.
A delicious tarte au citron.
My face says it all.
Carrefour selling macarons like they're leftover Vons cookies.
And finally...

(Surprisingly good) Korean food in France!
