I am finally doing my long overdue Paris post! Looking back at these pictures makes me want to go back so badly. Paris is amazingly beautiful and every moment felt surreal.
So last weekend, my friend had to take her LSATs in Paris and she invited me to go with her and stay with her at a hotel that her mom booked. Obviously I said yes and eventually two other friends joined us. It was a great weekend but it was a bit odd. Before I came to France, I chose Lyon over Paris because I thought too many people in Paris would dismiss my amateur French speaking abilities and talk to me in English, but when I got there and I started talking to some locals, they actually spoke back to me in French. I found this odd because in Lyon, people usually recognize my American accent when I'm speaking French and start speaking to me in English.
Anyways, so in Paris, I got to go to all the touristy-must-sees such as the Eiffel Tower, the Musee du Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay, Les Deux Magots, and Laduree. I think the most memorable experience of this trip was standing in line to get into the Musee d'Orsay. Miranda and I couldn't bear to wait half an hour in line (sober) so we decided to get a bottle of rosé and some pretzels to make the wait a little more endurable. Needless to say, we got a lot of dirty looks from people around us but we didn't care because we're kool kats.
